Choosing Art

With so many choices and options it can be overwhelming when it comes to choosing art for your home or interior space.

I believe it is best to have pieces that you love and are drawn to than focusing on matching art to your décor or following trends. As it will be something you have to live with and look at all the time!

If you still are not sure where to start or what your style is, I would recommend making a mood board. This can be done through Pinterest a free online pinning board or the old fashion way of scrap booking images you like (found in magazines, newspapers, etc ) and pasting them into a book or on a piece of large cardboard.

You can focus on art and design – of course, but make sure not to overlook any images which you may like, such as food, fashion, lifestyle or travel etc.

You may be drawn to textures in these images, colours, tones, shapes, simplicity or complexity. This will really help inspire, develop your style and explore your interests.

This is a fun way of getting started in developing your style, have fun and enjoyed it.
